Trains in Italy can be booked via Trenitalia.

The nearest train stations to the conference centre are Capo Bonifati (3.6km) and Cetraro (6km). These can be reached by regional trains only and there are direct (regional) trains from Naples.

Paola is the nearest station that is served by intercity and long-distance trains; it is about 25km from the conference centre. Capo Bonifati and Cetraro can be reached by changing onto a regional train in Paola (journey time: 20 mins; frequency: roughly every 2 hours).

By plane

Lamezia Airport

The nearest airport to Grand Hotel San Michele is Lamezia Terme (87km). The hotel offers a shuttle service from the airport (see below for prices).
It is also possible to reach Lamezia Terme Centrale train station by bus (journey time: 5 mins; frequency: every 30 mins) and then take a train to Paola (journey time: 30 mins; frequency: roughly every 2 hours).

Naples Airport

To reach Paola from Naples International Airport, one may travel by airport shuttle bus (Alibus) to Naples central station (journey time: 15-20 mins; frequency: every 15-20 mins). Then there are regular local trains (journey time: 3 hours 15 mins) and intercity trains (journey time: roughly 2 hours 30 mins).

Rome Airport

If you are arriving at Rome Fiumicino Airport, then one should take the Leonardo express train to Rome Termini train station (travel time: 32mins; frequency: every 30mins) Take the train to Paola, either direct or with a change in Naples (frequency: roughly every hour). There are both intercity trains (travel time: roughly 5 hours and 30 mins) and high-speed trains (travel time: 3 hours to 4 hours 30 mins).

Shuttle service

The hotel offers a shutte service upon request that will transport participants directly to the hotel from either Lamezia Airport or Paola train station. The shuttle can be booked via the webform available at this link.
Costs are given per vehicle and therefore must be divided between the passengers.
For shuttle services between 01.00 and 06.00 a.m. there is an additional night fee of 30 euro.
